FAQ – The Vow Room

We operate Thursday - Saturday, by appointment only. Typically, we are holding ceremonies between the hours of 10 am – 6:30 pm ET on these days. The Vow Room is a pop-up experience which means our booking has specific availability. We have our available dates within the booking calendar for your convenience!

From our website, the best way to see our availability is by heading to the "Our Packages" page and clicking on the booking icon. This will take you to the scheduler where you can see all of our availability for 2026.

The Vow Room is a pop-up. We have preplanned dates throughout the year where we will set up for ceremonies. Our pop-up location is inside the Indian Trail Town Hall building during these select dates.

You are able to book your reservation as soon as 3 days in advance of the dates available through our booking calendar. You can see our availability when you click the Book button on the "Our Packages" page.

In the state of North Carolina, you must obtain your marriage license within 60 days of your ceremony date. Couples can visit the Register of Deeds in any county in the state of North Carolina to apply for their marriage license. In general, both parties must be present at the time of filing for the marriage license.

The State of North Carolina also requires 2 witnesses over the age of 18 must be present during your marriage ceremony.

The booking packages are the same for both! From the package page, you will choose between the Weekday Bliss Marital Ceremony (which is exclusive to Thursdays), or the Weekend Marital Ceremony (Fridays and Saturdays). During booking process, the form will prompt you to designate if this will be a vow renewal or a wedding ceremony. The main difference is the vow renewal selection does not require a marriage license because it is intended for those who are already married.

At the time of booking, couples choose an Arrival Time. It is imperative that the couple and guests arrive at this selected Arrival Time slot for a seamless experience. Please note, that ceremonies begin on time regardless of guest tardiness.

We provide a modern photo booth for couples and guests to capture fun, high-quality, instant memories. You’re welcome to bring your own photographer or videographer to document your ceremony! Please note, we do not allow live streaming or otherwise live broadcasting of the ceremonies. Photographers and videographers must respect the scheduled time of the ceremony.

The space is fully styled and turnkey, so outside décor is not permitted. This ensures your ceremony is picture-perfect upon arrival while maintaining a seamless experience for all couples throughout the day.

Outside food and drink are not allowed. Typically, couples head to one of the restaurants in the surrounding area for time with their guests as The Vow Room specifically specializes in ceremonies.

Wedding party roles such as bridesmaids, groomsmen, etc. are limited to two (2) total persons, and these two individuals could serve as your witnesses. Due to the efficient nature of our services, larger wedding parties are not permitted.

We do not allow for any outside Ministers or any other type of Officiant. Only our licensed Officiants may conduct ceremonies. There are no exceptions to this policy.

Yes! We ask you please keep it short, sweet, and sentimental. We recommend 1 minute or less for each partner’s vows.

Your ceremony package includes up to 15 guests. For couples who'd like to invite a few more loved ones, you may apply the "add on" for 5 additional guests during the booking process for an additional fee.
Our guest count is intentionally limited so we can host multiple ceremonies each day while preserving the calm, intimate atmosphere for every couple.

Children are welcome to attend however children MUST be supervised and seated - they may not play/run around/explore the space. The Vow Room is not a child proof space - there's glass, live plants, draping, digital equipment, costly decor, etc. Attendance resulting in damages to The Vow Room and its operations will result in additional financial responsibility for the person(s) who secured the ceremony reservation.

The guest count is inclusive of every individual regardless of age who would usually sit in a seat by themselves. Small babies are typically held the entire time, secured in a car seat/stroller and are not included in the guest count.

The Vow Room operates on an appointment-based ceremony model, all ceremony bookings are reserved specifically for the couple’s chosen date and time. As such, all payments are nonrefundable. Transfers should be requested no less than 15 days before your scheduled ceremony and a $75 transfer fee applies. Transfer requests made between 10 - 14 days of the scheduled service date require a $150 transfer fee. Transfer requests initiated less than 10 days before the ceremony require a $300 transfer fee. Please note that transfer requests are only requests and subject to availability. The Vow Room cannot guarantee a new ceremony time within a reasonable window of the same day, week, or month. All transfers must be communicated by calling The Vow Room directly at (980) 866-6328. We will process the applicable transfer fee at the time of the request. Only one transfer per booking is permitted. Once transferred, the new ceremony date is final.

Bookings are non-refundable.

The Vow Room is unable to hold the venue or delay your ceremony to accommodate late attendees and/or witnesses. All parties are to arrive at the scheduled Arrival Time to ensure they are seated before the ceremony. Please review the Terms and Conditions agreement for more details.

The actual ceremony lasts approximately 10 minutes or less. Remainder of the allotted time is for couple and guests to utilize the instant, digital photo area and for the couple to complete their sparkling toast.

Yes! The Vow Room is a pop-up location nestled in the government building of Indian Trail's Town Hall which has its own parking lot with handicap accessibility. Please use the back parking lot for direct access into the ceremony space.

No, throwing these items of any kind are not tolerated. We have multiple ceremony appointments in one day and each couple deserves the same seamless experience. All parties must respect the space, our staff, and the next wedding ceremonies.

Yes, though The Vow Room has a preset selection of soft jazz love songs for the ceremonies readily available. If you prefer your own song, you must note this on the "Couple's Information" section during your booking process. The song must be available through Apple Music.

Yes, you can provide your own playlist for the ceremony. Please note, The Vow Room Team are not DJ's. We are not responsible for timing out your music/coordinating it to start playing at certain parts of the song, playing at certain times throughout the ceremony, etc. We will simply play the music provided, turn it down during the exchange of vows, and turn the music back up afterward.
The link to the playlist you create is to be provided when completing your "Couple Form" during the booking process and must be available via Apple Music.

The Vow Room hosts multiple couples a day. We provide each couple with a 60-minute time slot which includes arrival, the exchange of vows, sparkling toast for 2 and access to the photobooth with props!
After the 60 minutes concludes, The Vow Room Team must prepare for the next arrivals and we ask all parties from your ceremony depart from the property.
